18. Neapolitan Mastiff

The Neapolitan Mastiff features heavy wrinkles and imposing bulk tracing to ancient Roman guard dogs. Weights can reach 150 pounds with heights of 24 to 31 inches. Loose skin once served as protection in conflict. Despite a formidable exterior they are affectionate steady companions. Coat shades include black blue mahogany and tawny. Early socialization plus positive firm training help manage their strong will and protective instinct.
