17. Puli

The Puli is known for dense cords resembling thick dreadlocks. Compact yet sturdy it historically worked Hungarian flocks. Standing 16 to 17 inches and weighing 25 to 35 pounds it is agile and quick. The corded coat shields from weather and predators but demands careful drying and separation. Spirited bright and sometimes bossy it often tries to herd family members. Early social experiences and continued training support good manners.
