The veterinarian led Addison back in and closed the door slowly. Addison sat, hands clasped, as the vet spoke in a measured tone. “Mr. Addison, after a preliminary exam, this is not a domestic animal. In fact, it’s not typical wildlife for this region.” Addison’s heart sank. “Based on its characteristics and behavior, it appears to be a juvenile predator, possibly a rare or exotic species not native to this continent.
