The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is known for its silver and yellow-gray coat. It originated in 1955 from an experiment by the CSSR Breed Association in Czechoslovakia. Despite its wolf-like look, the wolfdog is remarkably friendly.

This breed is gentle yet highly energetic and fearless. It arose from crossing wolves with guard dogs, explaining its unique traits. With only about 340 registered in Slovakia, Italy, and a few other countries, it is quite rare. Some sell for up to $1,500. Although impressive, the Czech Wolfdog is banned in forty states due to wolf-hybrid laws. Even where allowed, rules vary by county. Reports of illegal ownership sometimes surface in national news.
