4. Borzoi

The Borzoi once served Russian nobility in wolf and hare hunts. Importation to Western countries preserved the breed after political upheaval. Tall and flowing they can reach thirty two inches at the shoulder and move with effortless speed. Their long silky coat needs routine brushing. Indoors they are quiet and composed and can adapt to smaller homes with proper exercise. Strong chase instincts call for early training and supervision. Their gentle affectionate manner rewards patient owners who love elegance and athletic grace.
