The Bracco Italiano is among the earliest pointing breeds with origins reaching to classical times. Popular through the Middle Ages it declined in the nineteenth century before modern revival. Calm sturdy and resilient it excels in the field. Heights range 21 to 27 inches and weights 55 to 88 pounds. White coats display orange or chestnut patches.
