You don't need detective skills to figure out what happened here. Someone left pastries alone and came back to find tiny paw prints pressed into them. While we're not pointing fingers at the cat, the evidence speaks for itself. Luckily, it looks like only two pastries got stepped on. From this photo, we can't tell what else might have happened to the treats.
The scene is perfect comedy: clearly defined paw prints stamped into fresh baked goods tell a tale of cat mischief without needing any witnesses. The cat's relaxed attitude makes it even funnier, as if it knows it's guilty but couldn't care less. It's easy to imagine the moment: the smell of pastries, a brief time alone, and a deliberate choice to leave a calling card. This is exactly why cat owners learn never to leave food unattended, even for a second. The real puzzle: did anyone actually eat the untouched pastries?
